Pandoro di natale (typical Italian Christmas cake)


In Italy, it would be almost impossible to imagine Christmas without Pandoro, the traditional Italian Christmas cake which is originated in Verona.


For the dough:
200 g Mix C - Mix Pâtisserie
125 g sugar
50 ml milk
1 tsp grated lemon peel
180 g butter at room temperature
4 eggs
3/4 package baking powder
1 pinch/es of salt
a little bit of icing sugar


  • Beat the sugar and eggs together in a bowl.
  • Add the other ingredients and stir them well to form a smooth consistency.
  • Pour the mixture into a buttered pandoro mould (a tall, round mould) dusted with Schär Mix C. Bake in a preheated oven.
  • Leave to cool and dust with icing sugar.
