In Italy, it would be almost impossible to imagine Christmas without Pandoro, the traditional Italian Christmas cake made from yeast dough which originated in Verona.

Ingredients

200 g
125 g
sugar
50 ml
milk
1 tsp
grated lemon peel
180 g
butter at room temperature
4
eggs
3/4 package
baking powder
1 pinch/es of
salt
a little bit of
icing sugar

Preparation

  • Beat the sugar and eggs together in a bowl.
  • Add the other ingredients and stir them well together to form a smooth, homogeneous mass.
  • Pour the mixture into a buttered pandoro form (a tall, round form), which has been sprinkled with Schär Mix C and bake in a preheated oven.
  • Leave to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
