Sweet stars with lots of almonds and hazel nuts – they taste twice as good with a lemon-sugar glaze!

Ingredients

135 g
250 g
sugar
2
eggs
125 g
ground almonds
125 g
ground hazelnuts
50 g
candied citron
1 tbsp
lemon juice
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 knife tip
baking powder

Preparation

  • Beat the sugar and the eggs with an electric beater on high for 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients and then add them to the mixture slowly, kneading the product to form a smooth dough.
  • Roll out the dough onto a work surface covered with Mix C flour. Cut out star shapes and arrange on a baking tray.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 175°C (350°F, gas mark 4).   

Variation: Glaze the biscuits while still warm with a mixture of confectioner’s sugar and lemon juice (150 g/5 oz. confectioner’s sugar, 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice).
