250 g
75 g
butter at room temperature
125 g
sugar
1
egg
1
egg yolk
1 tbsp
vanilla sugar
1 knife tip
ground cloves

Preparation

Cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the egg and egg yolk, and continue to stir until the mixture is light and creamy. Mix together the spices, flour, baking powder and almonds, and stir into the mixture. Lightly dust your hands with flour and then roll the dough into walnut-sized balls. Place an almond on top of each. Bake in the oven for 15–18 minutes at 180° until the biscuits turn slightly golden. Leave the biscuits to cool on a wire rack. Moppen will stay fresh for 2–3 weeks if stored in a biscuit tin.
