Do Schär products contain pesticide residues, including glyphosate?

All raw ingredients used in our products are carefully selected and are subject to a strict control procedure in order to reduce pesticides, including glyphosate, to a minimum. 

We have established testing plans for all our raw materials and finished products to guarantee a safe product that complies with European and US food law. After the production, every batch is analyzed against gluten content, pesticides, contaminants, pollutants, allergens and microbiological criteria. 

We take strict care to ensure that all the limits laid down by current food legislation are complied with. 

For processed foods, there is currently no set maximum residue level for glyphosate in the United States or EU. 

The limits set by Regulation (EC) 396/2005 and FDA’s 40 CFR 180.364 for glyphosate in single raw materials like oilseeds, cereals, pseudocereals and grains are met by all the ingredients used in our products. 

We are continuously working on improving our products, which are known for their high quality among consumers.

For this reason, we are examining together with our suppliers how we can further limit any pesticide residues in our products.
