We have lunched here with friends on several occasions and not had a bad meal yet. That said, service can be a bit slow and the prices are higher than other local establishments. But you are paying for a very attractive setting, good food and attentive service (in our recent experience). The manageress took great pains on each visit to talk through the menu with my wife, suggesting any variations to the menu that would make it more suitable for gluten free dining. At first glance there was not much available, but adapting the items helped. For a change, this did not mean taking items away, but including alternate ones. We were also pleased that an inexperienced waitress was quick to admit ignorance and seek advice rather than, as we have experienced in the past, bluff or feign knowledge.Best to book for busy times.
