I have recently discovered Schar and really like the multigrain sliced bread which I use to make sandwiches for lunch. However I have found that there always seems to be a big hole in the loaf which makes it difficult to use soft fillings eg, egg mayo or tuna etc. Am I unlucky or is it the norm for this bread?

We are sorry to hear that the Schar Product you purchased contained large air holes that sometimes occur during baking.

We pride ourselves on the high quality of our products and service so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention so that we can further investigate what might have affected the quality in this instance.

Our production team has been informed of the issue with a few loaves that we have heard about and the team has gone through some retraining to inspect each loaf before it is placed in the packaging.

We will alert our Quality Assurance Department of this issue so the necessary measures can be taken as we further look into what might have caused a quality deviation in this instance.

It would help our QA team greatly if you could email us Any Pictures You May Have Taken, the Complete Name of the Product, the Best By Date and Batch Code on the Package to

You can find this date and code printed on the inner pouch that the bread comes in along the outer seam.

If we can be of further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us again. We very much appreciate your support of Schar and Schar-branded products.

Have a great gluten free day,
