Of course you don’t have to miss out on barbecues in the summer, that would be a bit too much! But you should follow a few basic rules so that you too can really enjoy them: it’s best if you buy not marinated meat and cook it yourself. Then you can be sure that there’s no gluten hidden in the spices. And to avoid any contamination on the grill itself, you can prepare the meat, fish or delicious vegetables in an aluminium bowl or wrapped in foil. Ready marinated meat and barbecue sausages are unfortunately a no-go area. But you can eat as much as you want of gluten-free side dishes such as salad and crudités.
