Ingredients

1/2 cup Paniermehl - Breadcrumbs
450 g minced meat
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp thyme

Preparation

  • Heat oven to 200°C.
  • Mix all dry ingredients together.
  • Set aside In large bowl, beat egg till well mixed.
  • Add ground meat and dry ingredients. Mix well.
  • Form into balls approximately 2 1/2 cm in diameter.
  • Place in a baking pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, drain.
  • Meat balls can be frozen or used right away with your favorite sauce or pasta.
