In order to guarantee that our raw materials are 100% gluten-free, at our laboratory we use certified methods for quantifying the gluten content. For oats, the gluten analysis is additionally guaranteed by a regular company-wide interlaboratory test that is compared with certified internal laboratories.
For example, we use oat bran, oat flour and oatmeal for the Avena Oat Biscuits. In this area, we cooperate with different mills in northern Europe that guarantee the controlled and contamination-free cultivation of the raw material. This is the case also for the Fruit Muesli.
Numerous clinical studies have proven that pure oats – in other words, oats that are not contaminated by gluten – are well-tolerated and contribute to improving the nutritional quality of a gluten-free diet.
