Travelling to Lanzarote regularly, I am always very careful about eating out as a coeliac. My dietary requirements are known now to a lot of restaurants and they do adapt dishes to cater for me. However sometimes some dishes/sauces are not quite the same when they lack gluten so it was lovely to find this small Italian restaurant, close to the town centre in Costa Teguise. Their menu includes an extensive list of different pizzas and pasta. All pizzas can be adapted by way of a home made gluten free base which is crispy, thin and very tasty. I know that some of the high street chains in the UK do have gluten free options but I doubt that they have the range that this restaurant has. We also tasted the GF pasta dish which was wonderful. The owner's wife is a coeliac so understands the condition. Coupled with the friendly atmosphere, good service, sunshine and a glass of wine, I was in paradise!!!
